Obrigado means, Thank You, in Portugese. One of the very few words I was able to "master" while traveling extensively for 2 weeks throughout this beautiful country. So I wanted to give Portugal a virtual SHOUT OUT, THANK YOU or that is OBRIGADO for the HOSPITALITY of your FRIENDLY people, the CLEANLINESS of your cities and mass transportation, the wide use of the English language (much appreciated), the AMAZING food, the GORGEOUS & UNFORGETTABLE scenery, the storied HISTORY lessons, the best Music Festival in the world, your STUNNING beaches and last but not least, THE PORT WINE......ah yes, I definitely had my (more than) fair share.

Over the next few posts, I will be sharing with you the fabulous cities of Portugal that my husband and I visited. From wine country, to the bustling capital city and down to the beautiful beaches of the Algarve........I will take you on adventures through Porto, Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Alfama, Sagres and Lagos. I will give you tips and suggestions about where we stayed, where to eat, what to see and do, and of course, what to wear. But before you join me in our journey, it's time for your next Portugese language lesson. We heard this word over and over again.

Proxima Paragem, which means......Next Stop. So without further ado..........Proxima Paragem: Porto, Portugal
